Super fun times are about to go on at our house! Amelia and I are working on this together. We can't wait to share the antics of Messy and Norman!
👀 Can we talk about what we’re gifting this holiday season? For years, I’ve avoided products like the ones from Bath & Body Works (it's hard not to throw them under the bus so specifically, because they're not the only one, but they're the most obvious) because I know how harmful they can be. But after my breast cancer diagnosis this year, I feel even more compelled to speak up. After a cancer diagnosis, your filter becomes less important. I digress. This isn’t just about what smells good or looks cute—it's about what’s safe for our bodies. 🛁 Bath bombs, 🧴 colorful hand sanitizers, ✨ sparkly bath gels, 🕯️ candles, 🧴 lotions and 💨 sprays. . . They’re fun, affordable and everywhere. They're also super attractive to kids and teens—on purpose! 😳 The truth is, many of these items are loaded with chemicals that do real harm. Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and known carcinogens are lurking in the ingredients lists. They’re linked to: 🤧 Allergies 🧴 Eczema 🤕 Migraines 🚽 UTIs ⚖️ Hormone disruption 👶 Infertility 🧠 Hyperactivity 🔬 Mitochondria dysfunction 🎗️ Cancer These harmful substances interfere with hormones and can have long-term impacts on health. It’s heartbreaking, how normalized these products have become, despite the risks. What goes ON your body ends up IN your body, filtering through your organs.
